For years FPC members have supported the Presbyterian Church in Westfield's Agape Community Kitchen, which serves a hot meal to about 300 people every Wednesday in Elizabeth. Each FPC cake team member bakes two cakes in their own home every six weeks, and meal team members make enough chili every month to feed 300. Church members also help serve dinner in Elizabeth on Wednesdays. Leftovers go to Red Ribbon Fellowship, Restore Ministries and others. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
We welcome you to our monthly meal assemblies which are generally on the third Sunday in the dining room between services. We also need help delivering meals. This is a very rewarding mission. To learn more about it click on this link: Meal Delivery Information and Sign-up
- CRANFORD-ELMORA SOUP KITCHEN - A couple of Sundays a month, our congregation assembles 100-200 non-perishable bagged lunches that are handed out to the hungry in Elizabeth after they have a hot meal. Each bagged meal includes a sandwich, fruit, a crunchy snack (pretzels, trail mix), a dessert (cookies, yogurt bar) and a juice.
- CRESCENT AVENUE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH - We also hand out bagged lunches (similar to the ones above) in Plainfield. Crescent Avenue hands out about 50 bagged meals every weekday, and Fanwood Church will provide 1,200 meals through the year.
