watching over them--not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be;
The session leads in the rejoicing, renewal and reaching out of the congregation by committing to the joys of worship, prayer, study, fellowship and service. We seek to embody and communicate the good news of Jesus Christ through story-sharing, testimonies and relationship-building. And we strive to model such life in Christ to the congregation.
The session is made up of 12 active elders who begin each meeting with 45 minutes of prayer and Bible study. Elders then discern God's will for the corporate life of the congregation through prayerfully considering and discussing motions. They are also responsible for care over all the members of the congregation (in coordination with the deacons) and the care of the property and grounds (in coordination with the trustees.) Rev. David Jahnke moderates the session.
